PROJECT BY GIACOMO INFANTINO

The project is a visual itinerary of the research carried out by the artist in the places where he lives. The book presents several images taken from the series Unreal and Preja Büia, with some unpublished shots; they trigger a dialogue between unconscious and suggestion, creating interstices of meaning, survivals suitable for cosmogonic exploration of myth, of fable, between the archaic and the contemporary. The signifier of the natural, the border territories, the ephemeral relationship between places of prehistoric heritage, are reworked through a provision of dreamlike fascination of the landscape and man himself. The research, through informal investigations and light installations on the territory, gives back another dimension of the landscape able to untie itself from a structural logic, but at the same time able to shape it through the fusion of characteristic elements of what constitutes today the sense of inhabiting a place, experiencing it, living it.
