Futuro Storico was born from the artist’s desire to fill the knowledge gap about his own family. From the discovery of a factory owned by the Mazzonis, a search began to find realities, stories and families connected to the world of Piedmontese textiles. Using images, Vittoria tries to shape her own past by telling the stories of some former industrial buildings that have been abandoned or that, thanks to the careful management of their descendants, continue to survive. Photography becomes a privileged tool of investigation, a narrative approach and an attempt to create a harmonious connection between past and present poised between the desire to return to those distant times and the impossible attempt to stop the advance of time.
