PROJECT BY LEONARDO TADDEI

This Bird had flown describes the limits of the human condition, underlining how man finds himself at the mercy of “clouds and winds” whenever he wishes for the stars, or more simply something he cannot have. The title of the work is taken from a verse of the Beatles’ song “Norwegian Wood”. More generally it is an expression that in English translates the situation in which the person you are looking for has run away, has gone away. I was going through a complex period where I couldn’t look at my photographs anymore, I was disgusted by them. I felt lost. So I decided to start from scratch, with a small 10 euro analogue camera. The images I took I didn’t develop so I couldn’t see them. It was like rehabilitating after something had broken in me. Once I felt I was “healed” I developed all the rolls and this is what came out of it.
