VETEM is a journey that lasted seven years between the mountains of northern Albania and the city of Scutari. A series of encounters that led me to live in the woods, immersed in the peasant culture, in its ancestral customs and in the nearby city where the inhabitants of the mountains have come down to populate the suburbs. In the northern valleys I was able to embrace hospitality and live in contact with simple, humble men with solid identities, the last survivors of a now rare way of life. In the bizarre Scutari, I immortalized the difficulties of internal migration, the discomfort, the hardships of the suffering suburbs. This book combines a wide series of shots to a real novel, a biographical story that explores the theme of vagrancy.
