Independent platform for photographic projects
Selfself Books was born from the need to create a structure and a community that can support young photographers and more established authors in the realisation and dissemination of their editorial projects. We are an independent digital platform, run by a team of professionals who develop photographic editorial products. Our wish is to give each author the opportunity to find the best form for her work, to produce a book that reflects her project idea and to distribute it through our platform and the support of the community.
Selfself Books has been active since 2021. In three years we have produced, thanks to our pre-order campaigns alone, more than fifty titles. We participated in national and international festivals, exhibited and presented our books all over Europe, won prizes and distributed the books, which were the result of the projects we developed together, all over the world.
Since January 2024, we have changed our modus operandi, with the idea of expanding our reach and the services available to authors. We have transformed ourselves into a true digital publishing service, based on project research, the development of the project idea and its declination in book form, in the best possible form.

The authors involved in Selfself Books are young and/or emerging photographers. The platform presents a selection of authors, who are sought and accepted on the basis of the project of the work or selected following a spontaneous application, after evaluation of the proposed project. The photographers come from the most varied and diverse working and creative backgrounds. The projects are part of a strictly personal research that each individual author wants to show to the public and each work is reviewed together through a project flow that includes editing, design, realisation and dissemination. The entire process is studied for the best finalisation and presentation of the physical object. All creative steps are realised and managed in one-to-one photographer and dedicated team sessions.
