Description
Aphasia
Language demands congruence between thought and writing; yet in the quest for decoding, one comes to understand how thought is truly untranslatable, incommunicable within the predetermined and coherent forms of language. This is the aphasia of Sambati, an expression of emptiness that contains everything. His shots are metaphysical atmospheres, a collection of real elements that, once embraced within the composition, lose their grammatical univocity and become sensations, memories, perceptions that coexist without contradiction with their opposites. They are images that are both physical and dreamlike, modest in revealing the erotic obsessions of the unconscious, deafening in the longed-for search for emptiness, for solitude, which resonates in the architectures or in the self, coinciding with each other. They are suspended images, in the atmosphere and in judgment. By renouncing the will to communicate, Sambati encourages us to embrace the multiplicity of meanings of what surrounds us and is within us.
