Description

Incorrispondenti

The year 2020 has presented us with scenarios we never thought possible, a virus has crept into our lives forcing us to make decisions and precautions that were hitherto unthinkable. Technology has proven to be the only means capable of keeping us close to our loved ones. But what if one wishes to get to know people hitherto unknown? This is what we, Ilaria Lagioia and Valentina De Santis, tried to figure out, who from simple acquaintances, in about 50 days, formed a true friendship. We conducted an experiment characterized by an e-mail exchange. Photographs and letters followed one another day after day. The work is meant to be a tale of lives that voluntarily come together, of photographs that are voluntarily donated, not only to alleviate the situation of isolation but more importantly to have a good reason to meet again soon.
