Ci vediamo all’angolo
“Ci vediamo all’angolo” is a project that was born out of a need to create an affective map of a then-unknown city. When I arrived in Milan, about two years ago, I did not know anyone and knew nothing about the city. Immediately I started wandering around. A habit I’ve had for a long time. When I get to a place I don’t know, I get out and start walking. The first experiences were very pleasant. Milan is a flat city on a human scale, and without realizing it, I would often arrive at the edge of the city. From the first time I went out, I carried my camera over my shoulder. After a few months, I started editing images and realized that there, among hundreds of photographs, were several street corners. A corner is a moment when we have to choose a route when we don’t know where we are going. It is an important aspect of urban planning and city life. It is also a meeting point, and every time I turned, I found new possibilities.
